'Tis the Season

I don't know about y'all but this year, the holiday season seriously snuck up on me. I feel so old saying that! I'm the girl who has a general idea of what I want out as decorations like right after Halloween. I usually start all my crafting around that time and get the ball rolling on decorating shortly after. This year, though...nope. The only thing that's changed has been the start of Morii. So while it saddens me a tiny bit that I feel older, my house is more messy, my Christmas planning was pretty much non-existent and my thoughts and time are spent elsewhere, I am just so thankful for this direction my life has taken in the last couple months. For the first time in years, I feel like I have something to focus on outside of my own little selfish self or my family and I am loving it so stinking much! I also really love that this season has been practically 100% stress free and I'm still making all those precious memories with my family that I always have. Thankfully my kids are so young that they didn't notice that we started our advent calendar a couple days late! haha

This year, I think this beautiful family I'm about to share with y'all helped me get my stuff together and make the time to create the holiday magic for my family. From the moment I pulled up to their house, (literally-I wasn't even out of my car yet) I was met with warm smiles. The love they share with each other just exuded from all of them and the precious kiddos were just too much for me to handle! My favorite thing from this session was learning about all the ornaments from years past. Some were even antiques. There's just something about going back in time to learn about people that fuels my fire. The connections that I make with my clients and their families mean the world to me and I am so thankful for every single one of them-not just as clients, but as people!

My hope for you as you continue into this holiday season is that you express kindness to all those you encounter. You never know what crazy season of life they may be in. Your warm, welcoming smile or kind gesture may be JUST what they need to get them into the Christmas spirit and bring an extra bit of joy into their home for their family.

I would love to tell your story through images! Contact me to book your session.
